I have an erorr message about that states the server responded with the following:

mail\loop\angel@knight-industries.com!POP3!9279075!5

When I looked at the mail\loop with dos, there are hundreds of emails in the loop from ads and spamming. I have AVG Ant-Virus and it is supposed to check emails coming in however this seems to happen occasionally where the email causes the machine CPU cycles to be overloaded and I have to stop the email server.

How can I purge or filter out the unnecessary email addresses with Eserv 2.98? Do I need a special email filter, add-on, plug-in, or is there some POP3 Rules that I can use for this type of issue?

Thanks again,
JB

With Eserv build 2635 or higher you can use file(s) mail\spammers* These are plain text files with one email per line. Since build 2982 you can use wildcards in emails. Since build 3110 you can also use file(s) mail\friends* (in the same format) to list non-spammers addresses that reside in mostly spammers' domains you blocked with wildcards.

Anyway, check mail\loop regularly.

No, these are not tasks. These are plain text files located in mail folder. Just create them.
You can create multiple files, e.g.: spammres.txt, spammers.com.txt, spammers.uk.txt and friends.txt, friends.hotmail.com.txt, friends.ru.txt
